Behind the Company Name
Nova Amber was officially launched in September 2002. The unusual name draws
inquiries on its origin. Here is the story behind the name:
Roger Zelazny, (1937-1995), a famous science fiction writer, penned a series of short
stories. The stories were compiled into an anthology titled The Great Book of Amber:
The Chronicles of Amber.
The book fascinated the company's partners with its underlying message of order versus
chaos, measured along a continuum.
In the book, Amber is a place in the universe where all order originates. Order precedes
growth. The term "Amber" had to be part of our company's name.
In The Chronicles of Amber, order begins with the Pattern. Loosely interpreted,
the Pattern can be identified with the business model of Business Process Virtualization
(BPV) Nova Amber utilizes to ensure high quality, consistent deliverables to our clientele.
Moving along the BPV continuum is comparable to moving closer to Amber and to sound
business order.
Think of Nova Amber as offering you, our clients, access to order in the world of BPV
information and, therefore our universe of knowledge.
Join the cast of characters at Nova Amber in learning about business process virtualization,
the new business paradigm.
